Here a River Once Flowed…
Landscape · Ecology · Research

The square beside an art school supports an established tradition of outdoor exhibitions and connects natural imagery with visual art.
The forms of the small structures refer to the silhouette and movement of a waxwing without turning the space into a literal illustration. Route, seating, and display surfaces work as one composition.
The project became the first completed fragment of a wider network of themed squares, demonstrating how a territorial identity can emerge through an everyday public space.
